found rare time for some collage
a complicated colourful little homage to Landsdown
makes me smile about an otherwise unfortunate situation
i cannot possibly condone the goings on of the current developers
it will forever be sacred ground for me
i witnessed Miss Jackson’s (…cause i’m nasty) Rhythm Nation tour august 21, 1990
i also remember fondly sitting shotgun as a little girl while my dad did doughnuts in the large empty snow dusted parking lot some cold ottawa winter night in the ’80s
good times
…now i look forward to the fond memories i am going to make at ‘whole foods’

two cards mysteriously appeared on my desk in recent days
i feel the angst of civil servitude
(that could just be me)
i like very much that this answer is an equation
symbols. the writing of equations. that feels human
the content of this equation is intriguing
this brings into question for me the emotional intelligence and self-awareness of animals other than humans
we think abstractly. we consume. we hate. we justify. we generate dogma.
that feels quite dark yet an undeniable human cycle
the other traits i feel we share with animals. we have a leg up with humour i suppose, though i once knew a hilarious sarcastic black lab-ish dog
i know for certain to soon expect some postcards from children
i am without doubt that children will provide the best answers
i cannot wait!

of particular note was the collection of contemporary latin american art at MALBA
political, vibrant, intriguing, humourous, alive. good stuff.
the antiques in san telmo were another joy
a year could be spent sorting through them. fun.
porteños are a friendly big-city bunch if you engage them a little
black and yellow taxis dot the city like confetti
often, a certain type of argentine gentleman was at the wheel, willing to impart some interesting insight
a toast of fernet branca to my lovely time spent in BA! salud!

it seems the ‘school age’ walking stick is stuck at the border
the stick made it to L’aéroport international Montréal-Trudeau
and made friends with airport staff!!
and where was it off to you wonder?
no where fast!
i am going to put my money on ‘trouble at security’
“what do you mean ? this stick a threat? can you not see the art in action?!?”
this fine airport staff informs me that the stick is laid up in the airport’s lost & found!
i am all at once delighted and distraught
this is the main airport that sets me free on the world
a place i am fond of, filled with memories (…where were you when you heard Michael Jackson was dead? i was at the montreal airport)
AND just imagine all of the amazing other contents of a montreal airport lost & found!
i made a plea for the stick to be set free
it is on a great journey
it is meant to wander
only time and the interest of strangers will tell
