My parents gave me the gift of a classical music education.
I squandered it as a silly teen, trading violin for adolescence.
Tonight I am reminded of how fundamental it is to my make-up.
Though today I am grateful for my guitar,
I am forever grateful for my classical training.
Ever awed by the genius of classical music.
…maybe I will try to paint a song…hmmm…
Thank you to a dear friend and a new friend for a lovely evening.

at least one shamefully belated gift is now on its way
for a stylish classy lady, whose tastes I cannot afford, I painted a silk scarf
i hope she knows how much respect I have for her…
Merry Christmas Alicia!
you are Ukranian…so that buys me at least a few weeks less shame!
it’s in the mail, along with dad’s vintage Merlin

i love garbage night.
i LOVE throwing away junk.
last night i went through a box of random junk and pitched most of it.
excellent.
even more excellent, the few items I did keep!!!
1. silly putty. enough said.
2. a MIXED tape. an ACTUAL mixed tape of mine. i really didn’t think I had any of these around anymore.
what will I do with it you, ask?
not much, except smile. do an “in the old days” routine with the kiddies?
3. my Buddha Board
in case you are unfamiliar, it is a whimsical novelty that encourages you to paint with water alone
and contemplate the impermanence of the universe as you watch your masterpiece evaporate.
always a good lesson to refresh.
peace and love.

postscript!!! is this terrible or meaningful news? …the silly putty left a permanent mark on the buddha board. Hmm?
“Overexposed 2: Enough is Enough”
final.
let’s hope 2012 brings me a new model.
i am bored with the one I’ve got.
the other two move too much.
fingers crossed.
